Former Trustee Christopher Reim was scheduled to be sentenced this week after pleading guilty to promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child earlier this year. His sentencing has been moved to Tuesday, May 15.

According to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino Jr., Reim’s arrest came following a CyberTipline report filed by ChatStep, an image/file sharing website, stating that a person at his location uploaded an image of child pornography to one of the site’s chatrooms.

Investigators with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office High Technology Crime Bureau executed a search warrant at Reim’s Pelham home, during which Reim allegedly made admissions about previously using ChatStep and looking online for images of children, Scarpino said at the time of his arrest.

A preliminary forensic examination of Reim’s computer devices indicated that he possessed images of sexual performances by children.

According to the Village of Pelham’s website, Reim became a trustee in April 2014 and served as the board liaison to the Fire Department. He, his wife and son have lived in Pelham since 2011. The website also noted that Reim was a managing partner of Civitas Ventures, a venture capital fund and an adjunct professor at Columbia SIPA, Yale School of Management and the National Science Foundation.
